Mark Beaumont, the record-breaking long-distance British cyclist, posted an intriguing message on twitter this week. Speaking from Calpe in Spain he said that he is “currently in training for the biggest expedition of my life” and that “it would be a historic year if I manage to pull off what is planned.”
He stopped short of telling us exactly what that challenge was, however, but was appealing for a last injection of funds from businesses to sponsor him. “If you feel you want to be a part of what is going to be a truly historic event” then you can get in touch with him on Markbeaumont online.
Mark is of course known for breaking the record for cycling around the world in 2008. He has also set himself some heroic challenges in rowing and skiing.
