Halfords have announced the launch of a new range of women’s bikes in partnership with Olympic track cyclist, Laura Trott. She follows former Olympic champions Victoria Pendleton, Sir Bradley Wiggins and Chris Boardman in partnering the motoring and cycling retailer.
The bikes will be available in July and will include three road bikes and one hybrid with prices starting at £449. Trott said that, “I want to see as many women and girls as possible to get out there on bikes.”
Halfords will be hoping that the new range will help to spur an increase in sales after last year’s wet summer saw a 1.2% slump in its pre-tax profits.
