Zwift, the virtual cycling platform that allows you to join a group ride on your turbo trainer, are hosting a variety of female-focused events to celebrate International Women’s day.
Some of the highlights include seven days of Women’s Week rides led by cycling pros, the launch of a women’s only event feature in-game and a special in-game women’s kit. Olympic Gold Medallist, Kirstin Armstrong will also be taking part in a ride/interview as part of today’s programme at 3.15 pm.
Zwift have been forging a path for women cyclists since last year when they launched their Zwift Academy. It’s a ground-breaking talent ID programme that they say has “created the largest community of female cyclists" – 3,600 last year
